Choosing the right wedding photographer/ videographer will come with lots of questions as your wedding will be one of the most important days of your life. Here are some of the most common questions that we get asked however if you have any other queries then please get in contact with us.
Questions To Ask When Picking a Wedding Photographer/ Videographer
What is your style?
The most important thing for our team is to capture moments naturally. This creates a timeless memory of your day with the emotions as they happened. We make sure that the team are as discreet as possible, therefore not being obtrusive or ruining the guest experience of the day. The style used is called wedding photojournalism, another common description is reportage or documentary photography.
I found you on Google, how can I be sure it’s safe to use your company?
Our company is completely safe. We are registered on Companies House as a limited company; we have a Trademark to operate as a photo video company and also £5 million public liability insurance. Also, when you book our services we provide a full contract with Terms and Conditions to protect you.
Is it better to have two photographers & two videographers?
Having too many photographers & videographers on the day can block the stage and ruin the whole day for the guests experience as nobody will be able to see the ceremony. Secondly, with multiple teams surrounding the wedding it is most likely that they will be constantly in and out of the video and photos. Thirdly, the cost element will increase as you will be paying for the additional team (it is never “thrown” in but incorporated in the price). Only certain circumstances require multiple teams. Always remember it’s about quality not quantity.
Do you provide package deals?
All of our photo and video packages are separate. We do this as everyone has different needs and requirements. Whether you go for both or just one of the services we guarantee the best price.
Do you use cranes?
We do have an option to include a crane for videography but we do not recommend it. Cranes can take away from the guest experience of the day and also affect the photographer as you cannot hide a crane from your final images and the look of it also ruins the venue and décor as it is very intrusive.
Do I have to take an album?
Absolutely not. Our packages include unlimited photos which we will give back to you. You have the copyrights to do as you please with them. If you wish to take an album later after your function we can still do this for you.
How far do you travel for weddings?
We are based in Hertfordshire but we travel all over the UK.
Do you only do weddings?
No, although our main line of work is weddings we provide our services for any function. Engagements, pre-weeding functions, pre wedding shoots, civil ceremonies, wedding receptions and birthday parties.
Do you offer pre-wedding shoot?
Yes we do. We have a number of locations which we can recommend. Please enquire for further information.
What do you do if your camera breaks?
We always carry back-up equipment to all our functions.
What cameras do you use?
We use professional Sony, Canon and Nikon cameras, with a variety of professional lenses.
Do we have to use you for both services?
No. You are free to use us for whatever services you require.
What is the best way to book?
To reduce the time it takes to book our services we show a large sample of our work on our website and social media. If you are happy with all the content and information we provide over the phone, then all bookings can be confirmed via email. We provide a full contract detailing all dates, timings and services along with our T&C’s
